Petrol RC Cars

RC petrol cars are very different from our nitro rc cars.
Whilst nitro rc cars mount smaller engines that require a glow igniting system to heat up the glow plug to start the car (similar to a diesel engine in principle but on a much smaller scale), petrol rc cars normally use a 2 stroke engine system that relies on a spark plug to keep it going (similar to a chainsaw but much more entertaining).
Petrol rc cars are usually of a larger scale compared to their nitro counterparts (normally 1:5 and 1:6). They mount larger engines (normally around 25/30cc) and overall they usually feel more heavy and robust than nitro rc cars.
People choose rc petrol cars for their reliability and ease of use. Petrol rc cars tend to stay on once you've started them and rarely require any tuning. Another selling point for our rc petrol cars is the running time (you can easily run your car for over half an hour on one tank) and (as they use standard oil/petrol mix) low fuel costs.
On the other hand, petrol rc cars do require larger spaces than their nitro and electric counterparts to be able to run properly and (although they are very durable) if crashed, rc petrol cars spares are normally more expensive than other smaller scales.
All in all, if you are fed up with glow igniters, tuning and constant refilling that's associated with nitro rc cars, then it's time for you to switch over to petrol rc cars!
