Sebart Katana S 30E (Red/Blue) - Airframe Only
All of SebArt’s Katana’s feature low wing loadings, coupled with long moment arms to provide a stable aerobatic airframes that are controllable in slow flight and high alpha positions. The models feature extremely large control surfaces and we would recommend that the models are flown with computer radio to allow dual rates and exponential to be dialled in for maximum control but reducing the risk of over control. All the Katana models are capable of classic aerobatic manoeuvres and virtually all the latest 3D.
The SebArt Katana S 30E is possibly one of the most popular 30 size electric models in the World and has introduced many to the delights of high performance electric flight. This design has lost none of its original appeal and is now available in a distinctive third colour scheme of giallo/rosso/nero (yellow, red and black). With suitable radio setting the SebArt Katana S 30E can be an excellent second model especially if following on from the SebArt Shark.
The Katana S 30E has a traditional balsa/plywood built up structure accurately made with CNC cut components. The wings are two piece for easy storage and transportation and joined with a substantial carbon joiner. Lightweight glass fibre cowl and wheel pants, with aluminium undercarriage complete the kit. The model features a large removable deep tinted canopy that allows easy access and simple battery changes. The hatch is retained by strong magnets. The model features other design and build highlights such as the pre cut air scopes and cooling outlets in the lightweight cowl with a pre installed baffle in the rear of the fuselage to assist the escaping air and aid cooling. The model is covered in the highly regarded polyester covering film Oracover. Oracover is widely available and sold under many other brand names such as Ultracote or Profilm so colour matching for repairs should be simple.
To keep your model safe in transit and storage a tailored set of wing bags is also available separately. These are produced using a more specialised material similar to bubble wrap. They are supplied in silver with black cloth edging and cut to accommodate the Katana characteristic deep root fairings.

4 channel radio with receiver (preferably a 2.4GHz computer radio with mixing to maximise performance).
4 high torque micro servos such as Hitecs HS65HB/HS65MG/HS5065MG, JR ES375/DS385/DS386 or PowerHD HD-1581HB/HD-2213MG. As with all models in this category please select your servos carefully as poor servo choice could lead to disappointment when flown.
